Obsidian

Obsidian is a powerful, extensible knowledge base and note-taking application that operates on local folders of plain text Markdown files. While the core application is proprietary-free for personal use, its entire plugin ecosystem, syntax, and markdown storage model are transparently open and local-first, ensuring complete data ownership and offline accessibility.
